Where a deep clean earns its keep.
A kitchen rarely looks dirty in one go. Grease creeps across the hob surround, the stainless steel goes cloudy with smears you stop registering, and the worktop picks up a dull film that a quick wipe never quite lifts.
A deep clean goes at the parts a weekly tidy skips — inside the oven, up into the extractor, along the skirtings and behind the appliances. Drag the slider across and look at the hob, the oven door and the worktop.
